Charter Day: We Will Remember!

"I shall remember the deeds of Yah; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will meditate on all Your work and muse on Your deeds."

Psalm 77:11-12

On September 2, 2006, the GHBC Charter was signed by 21 people (10 families). Of those 21, 9 original charter members remain: Betsy Adkins, Austin Cox, Tom and Penni Cox, Crystal Hix, Steve and Sheila Worley, and Mark and Cathy Wells. As we remember what God has done over the past 19 years, let us rejoice and celebrate what has been accomplished in His name. Many have come to saving faith through the ministry of GHBC, and many more have grown in their faith. Yet as we celebrate the past, we know that the work of the Gospel does not and cannot rest on what has been accomplished.

Regardless of whether you were a charter member or joined this year, we are all the first generation of GHBC. God has given us each the privilege to be a part of His mission to preach Christ and Him crucified, to make disciples, and grow in our faith. Until the Lord returns, may you, my brothers and sisters, and all who come in the future, be faithful to GO-Gather-Grow-Go!
